Weather has been perfect for some nonstop inshore fishing action. We have been fishing hard around the Naples in Marco Island areas in search of snook, redfish, sea trout & tarpon . With a a few throws of my cast net I’m able to load up my Livewell for our morning session . I always grab way more than I need as live chumming throughout the morning keeps these fish on the feed . Snook have been just about everywhere, but I mainly concentrating on the outside islands and beaches with good current.
This time of the year they are schools of small baitfish that show up and tend to stay around our beaches and passes . The tides pushes them in the rivers and creeks so it’s an easy place for our game fish to ambush an easy meal. Staying close to these area will insure you will have an action packed morning . In the higher incoming tides I am finding some good redfish action closer to the bushes using live pilchards . These fish are tight to the structure, so make sure you make a good cast into the pockets and wait for that “thump”. This weekend outlook looks great for some inshore light tackle action! Capt.
