Marco Island & Naples Fishing Report

In Marco Island and Naples Florida , It’s been a consistent week of catching!!! There have been loads of medium snook all over the beaches and outside islands. They're congregating around the schools of baitfish and eating everything that passes by. This week the Tides have been really strong and that has our game fish on the prowl . There has also been some sea trout and bigger jacks mixed in to keep you on your toes. If your looking for some great fish for the grill the mangrove snapper bite has been on fire. This past week it’s been no problem in getting your limit (5per person) to take home .

Naples and Marco Island Florida have some of the finest backcountry fishing in the world. The Variety of species and clarity of the water lend to some very exciting fishing. Snook, jacks, sea trout and snapper are still abundant on the beaches and the outside islands. Early mornings can be a blast with some artificials ( Zara spooks / skitter walks/ mirrro lures )but it’s always a sure bet that with a live well full of shiners you are going to have an exciting day.  It’s best to get up early to beat the heat and afternoon thunderstorms. Hope to see you out there !!!

The summer heat is upon us and the fishing remains just as hot. In the Naples and Marco Island area giant snook & sea trout have been crushing the mangrove shorelines. Spotting theses fish can be a bit tricky as they blend right into there environment. Just remember when trying to sight-fish take your time and key in on any small movement. A well placed cast is very important as these fish can be spooky. A cast to far you will get no response and a cast to close may spook the fish you have been stalking. The perfect spot is a few feet in front of his nose and be ready for that fish to charge your bait. Nothing is better than watching a game fish  explode on your bait. Catch m up!!!!!
