Naples and Marco Island inshore fishing has been on fire! Snook are in abundance from the backcountry out to the beaches. Sea trout, snapper, jacks, pompano and redfish have all been in the mix. Down south of Marco Island the beaches have been producing some giant snook. Waters are gin clean and this has opened up great opportunity to do some sight fishing. We are locating theses fish by slow rolling down shorelines and spotting them cruising by. A well placed cast in front of a moving fish will insure a hard strike. Look for weather and fishing conditions to remain hot. CATCH m Up!!

It’s been a great week for some bigger snook being caught. The waters around Naples Florida and Marco island remain clear so it’s been a sight fisherman’s dream. We have had strong incoming tides in the mornings and this has also been great for Sea trout and redfish. I have been concentrating on shorelines with good current and of course lots of small bait to keep these fish in the feeding mode. Live pilchards are still the best bait around and a well placed cast close to the structure will insure a hard strike. Naples and Marco island have been getting there share of heavy afternoon rains so it’s best to get out early and get it while the getting is good.
Capt. Tim Daugherty www.fishthesalt.com (239) 280-8138 Marco Island and Naples Fl summer conditions are in full effect with clear waters and loads of fish to be caught. I have been concentrating on the outside islands where bait is most prevalent. Snook, sea trout & red fish have been our main targets but you can expect jacks, Spanish mackerel, mangrove snapper and pompano to be right in the mix. Big snook have been showing up in good numbers so ready that drag and be ready to wrestle her from the trees. That’s light light tackle fishing at its finest. Catch M UP!
Capt. Tim Daugherty www.fishthesalt.com (239) 280-8138 The Naples and Marco island areas continue to produce some great fishing opportunities. The past month our stable weather has really kept our game fish on the feed. Redfish, sea trout, pompano, snook, tarpon and snapper have all been prevalent on any given day. Live bait is still the preferred method in getting big numbers of fish to the boat. Last week fly fishing the beaches for snook has really been allot of fun. My anglers are able to see the fish cruising the shallows and A well-placed cast always gets there attention. Stay tuned for more updates for Fish The Salt action.
Capt. Tim Daugherty www.fishthesalt.com (239) 280-8138 I know I say it in almost every fishing report but this fishing is on fire. Naples and Marco Island waters remain gin clear and loads of fish are cruising the beaches. My mornings always start with a few throws of cast net to load up on pilchards, thredfin hearing and Spanish sardines. Then we head straight to the outer islands to hunt down snook, sea trout, redfish, Spanish mackerel, pompano & tarpon. This week the mid morning strong incoming tides have been the best in getting these fish in the feeding mode. We have been concentrating on structure and slight depressions that run just off our beaches. It’s stick and move till we find them. Come on out and enjoy the action!!!!!
