Light winds and calm seas have the Naples and Marco island inshore fishing on fire . Snook are in huge numbers on the outside islands and points . Live bait is always the go to method in getting big numbers to the boat. Strong incoming Morning tides have fired up the red fish . The snook and red fish are all mixed up together. This makes it very exciting as you never know what species your going to get . On the slack tides I have been targeting some smaller tarpon . It’s best to look for them rolling and make an accurate cast to there last location. Great fishing should continue through this upcoming week . Catch M up !!!

The fishing around Naples & Marco island continues to be on fire. This week We had full moon tides. The Low tides in the mornings were great for non stop snook action. I was concentrating on points and shorelines with two things “current & Bait fish “. That combo was deadly for stacking up hungry fish. Later in the day with the incoming tide it was great for bringing in clean clear water and loads of game fish wanting to feed around the falling trees. Live bait is just about everywhere you look so make sure to load up that live well and get in on this action !! Catch m up.
Capt. Tim Daugherty www.fishthesalt.com (239) 280-8138 October mullet run is in full effect. There are schools of thousands cruising down our beaches. I have been focusing on these big schools of fish and I have found the redfish are cruising right with them. Live bait or gulp jigs have been working great to get a hard strike. Snook are still all over the outside islands and beaches. We have been sight fishing them with live pilchards and flies. Make sure to stay a good distance off your targets, make a good cast and look for the strike.
Catch M up ! Tim Daugherty www.fishthesalt.com (239) 280-8138 It’s been a redfish bonanza in Naples & Marco island Florida. Schools of redfish have been showing up around the outside islands and points. I have been using live pilchards with a split shot to get the bait down under the mullet schools. There are also snook, jacks, trout and Spanish mackerel mixed in. With weather stable look for fishing to remain productive throughout the week. Catch M UP !!
