Hurricane Michael passed right on by SW FL and left us with some great fishing. Pompano have been plentiful and it’s been great option for my clients who would like to take home some great tasting fish for the grill. Snook have been really active everywhere form the deep backcountry to the outer islands. Live bait is always the best method to really put some numbers on the boat. The weather should start to cool off soon and that will surly make some comfortable fishing conditions. TIGHT Lines!
Capt. Tim Daugherty Strong ENE winds have the outside islands calm & clear. Redfish & snook have been our main targets with some small tarpon mixed in. Live bait is alway a sure thing but artificial lures can also produce some exciting strikes (Zara spook or skitter walk). The top water bite is best at first light as these game fish are most active and less weary of artificial lures. Should be another great week of fishing the backcountry!
