I am usually guiding around the Naples and Marco island areas but this past week I have found some outstanding fishing south in 10,000 islands. Snook, sea trout, redfish, sheepshead and pompano have all been on my hit list. I have been using DOAs 3in paddle tails (brown or watermelon color) with a 3/4oz tsunami jig head. It’s very important to search out areas that have current flow with deeper edges that run along the islands as this is where you will find them piled up. I have also been throwing shrimp tipped jigs in the deeper rivers, concentrating on the deeper holes. I work these jigs at a much slower pace , as that little piece of shrimp will get there noses going. Get out and enjoy this great weather !!!
