First good cold front came today. It’s was a muddy mess out front close to the beaches but I was able to load my live well full of bait & headed straight for the clean water of the backcountry. As winter approaches our temps will start to drop in the evenings and cooler gulf waters will allow snook to head to the creeks and back bays where they will spend the winter. Another fun game fish that are prevalent in the cooler waters are spotted sea trout. I find artificial baits (jigs / clouser flies) work great to get the action going on a cool morning .
