Well let’s just say it was very busy few weeks of fishing & the backcountry did not disappoint. Snook and redfish were on the prowl with good numbers caught every day. I was excited to have one of my long time clients and his son fly in for 3 days of fishing. They didn’t waste much time getting dialed back into saltwater game. Live bait is still the best way to keep that action going all day but can be hard to catch at times around these cold fronts. Redfish have been on the smaller side but are prevalent deep in the backcountry on the higher tides. Pompano have been showing up but not in huge numbers. It's best to fish for them on the clean high incoming tides with shrimp tipped jigs. Looking forward to another solid week of fishing!!
