The inshore/backcountry Redfish, snook & sea trout fishing has been heating up. Naples and Marco island has been some of the warmest temps in the country and with these warm temps comes hungry fish. I have been finding good fishing on the morning incoming tides around the middle islands fishing shorelines with good current. Live bait has has been plentiful and with a few cast we are loaded up for some action packed fishing. What’s really cool about this fishery is how all of our game fish cohabitate with each other. With this said you never know what you’re going to catch on any given cast. The name of the game get that bait as close to the shoreline as possible as if it slips too far out in the middle is “Jack crevalle” city. Pound for pound one of the strongest fish in the back country and we have had loads to pull on. What’s the weather stabilizing look for the fishing to heat up even more. Get outside and enjoy this great playground!
