It was a wet week in the Naples and Marco island area, with hurricane Sally passing just off our coast. Despite the off and on showers we have been treated to some outstanding inshore/backcountry red fishing. I have been focusing on the middle islands and looking for shorelines/points that have some current flowing on them. Just remember to come in slow as not to spook any fish that might be waiting and power pole down. There has been loads of snook , snapper and jacks mixed in so be ready for anything. While my anglers are fishing, I like to live chum with pilchards to really get the bite fired up. This week we have strong incoming tides so make sure you concentrate on getting you baits tight to the mangroves and be ready for that THUMP on the line. C u on the water !!!!!
