Naples and Marco Island Florida offer some of the best summertime sight fishing opportunities. This time of year the Gulf of Mexico turns a turquoise color and we are able to look for snook, tarpon , redfish , sharks , pompano and sea trout in the shallow waters. Live bait & a well placed cast , is a great way to really get there attention. Look to see what direction they are headed and make a cast 3 feet in front of there nose. It’s so cool to watch these fish inhale a live bait and make a blistering run down the beach in gin clear water. For my fly fishermen & Women , we are using baitfish like patterns. The beaches and outer islands are usually covered in small bait fish so make sure your fly is of similar sized and color. With the water being very clear it’s a good time to switch over to Fluorocarbon leader to get more fishing chasing them flies. Go get M !!!
