It’s that time of year when fishing, you can get some big surprises. Due to the East winds are waters are gin clear and we are able to look down shorelines for snook and redfish. A good trolling motor is the key to sneaking up on a laid up snook in the bushes. I like to put my bow in the current and use the spot lock” feature to hold me in position. Now I can move freely and keep my anglers on the bite. Also last week in the Naples and Marco island areas, we have strong incoming high tides. This is the perfect Situation getting into some backcountry redfish action . I Look for points and areas where there’s good water flow. Dont forget to chum hard to bring the fish in close and then it’s non stop snook , snapper , jacks and redfish action. This week should be more of the same but the tides have shifted to outgoing in the mornings. Look for good action around the passes and middle islands where small baits are pilled in. See yah on the water !!!
